Warranty
The 12-month warranty
Twelve months from delivery, replace or refund, at our cost. The regional norm for refurbished enterprise storage is 90 days. We think that tells you how much confidence the seller has in their own testing.
Making a claim
Three steps, and we pay the postage
No forms, no phone queue, no proving you are worthy of it.
-
Send us the serial
Email the serial number and a screenshot of the drive's current SMART data. CrystalDiskInfo and Hard Disk Sentinel both export this, and either is fine.
-
We check it against the report
The report we published for that serial is kept on file. We compare the two — if the drive has failed, or its reallocated count has climbed materially above what we published, the claim is good.
-
You choose the outcome
An equivalent-or-better replacement, or a full refund. We pay return shipping either way. We do not require the original packaging.
This warranty sits alongside your statutory rights under UAE consumer protection law. It does not replace them.
What is covered
Any failure of the drive to function as described. In practice that means: the drive stops being detected, develops pending or uncorrectable sectors, fails a surface scan, or its reallocated-sector count climbs materially above the figure we recorded when we tested it.
How a claim is checked
Send us the serial number and a screenshot of the drive's current SMART data — CrystalDiskInfo or Hard Disk Sentinel both export it. We hold the reading taken here before the drive shipped, against that serial, and compare the two. If the drive has failed, or its condition is materially worse than when it left us, the claim is good.
What is not covered
- Physical damage, liquid damage, or damage from a drop or impact after delivery.
- Damage from power events — surges, unprotected supplies, incorrect voltage.
- Drives that have been opened. The seal is there for a reason; breaking it destroys the platter environment.
- Data. See below.
Data is your responsibility
This matters more than the rest of this page, so it is stated plainly: a warranty on a hard drive is a warranty on the hardware, never on the data. Every drive fails eventually, new or refurbished, and no test predicts the day. If the contents matter, they must exist in more than one place. A tested drive with a recorded health figure lowers your odds of an early failure. It does not remove them, and no honest seller will tell you otherwise.
