10TB enterprise SATA · Grade A refurbished · 12-month warranty
WD Ultrastar DC HC510, model HUH721010ALE600, part number 0F27452. Sold under the HGST name as the Ultrastar He10 before Western Digital rebranded the line, so the drive label and your SMART tool may say HGST. Same drive. Helium-sealed, 7-platter, conventional magnetic recording. Not SMR, not a shucked external, not a desktop drive with an enterprise sticker on it.
Photos show one unit from this batch (serial 1DHBDBVZ). Your drive is the same model and part number; its own serial and SMART report are emailed at dispatch.
What you get with your drive
- Your drive's own SMART report, emailed at dispatch, tied to the serial number on the unit we send you: health, performance, power-on hours, reallocated, pending and uncorrectable sectors, interface CRC errors, power cycles, temperature and helium level.
- The report on file, permanently. Ask us for it any time, before you order or two years later, and we will send it.
How every drive is checked
01 · Sourced Grade A. Drives come from a single Sharjah supplier, certified Grade A and sanitised before they reach us.
02 · Tested here, against its own serial. We run our own SMART capture on every drive before it is offered. Not the supplier's. Ours. We confirm the recording type from the drive's own model identifier, and we record the reading against the serial on the drive body.
We do not reset counters. A drive's history is the reason to trust it, so we keep it rather than erase it.
03 · Your report ships with the drive. The reading for your specific unit is emailed to you when the drive is dispatched, and kept on file permanently.
This batch
Six units. Every one tested here at 100% health and 100% performance, with zero reallocated, pending and uncorrectable sectors and zero interface CRC errors. All six confirmed CMR.
Power-on hours across the six run from 62,133 to 65,146, about seven years of continuous service. We publish the exact figure for every drive on its report, because you will see it the moment you plug the drive in and you should hear it from us first.
Ships from Dubai
Dispatched from Dubai Silicon Oasis. UAE delivery in 1 to 2 working days. No import, no customs charges, and if you ever need the warranty, the drive goes back across town, not across the world.
Data sanitisation
Drives are sanitised by our supplier to NIST SP 800-88 Purge before they reach us. Purge is the level at which recovery is considered infeasible using state-of-the-art laboratory techniques, executed with the ATA Secure Erase or Sanitize command set. Those are firmware-level operations, so they reach areas a logical overwrite cannot: sectors that have been mapped out, the drive's overprovisioned space, and any host-protected or device-configuration overlay areas.
We are describing our supplier's process, not certifying it ourselves. We do not perform the wipe and we do not issue a per-drive sanitisation certificate. If your compliance records need documented sanitisation evidence, ask us before ordering and we will tell you honestly what we can supply.
One honest limitation
SMART evidences a drive's present health and its workload history. It does not predict the moment a drive will fail. Anything you cannot afford to lose should be backed up whatever grade it carries.

These are Western Digital's figures for the model, not measurements of any one unit. MTBF is a population statistic and says nothing about an individual drive.
Packing
Anti-static bag inside a foam-lined box rated for drive shipping. Drives break in ways that do not show on the outside of a carton.
Check it yourself on arrival
We would rather you did. Run CrystalDiskInfo or Hard Disk Sentinel, and compare what it reports against the report we sent you for that serial. The figures should match. Power-on hours will read a little higher than the report, from our own testing and the time since.
If they don't, tell us immediately. That would be a serious failure on our part.
30-day returns, twelve-month warranty
You have 30 days from delivery to return the drive for a full refund, for any reason.
If a drive fails within 12 months of delivery, you choose: replacement or refund. No restocking fee, and you do not need the original packaging.
What the warranty does not cover: your data. A hardware warranty covers hardware. Every drive fails eventually, new or refurbished, and no warranty brings data back. If the contents matter, they must exist in more than one place.
